Terms of Service
In brief. These terms govern wholesale, white-label and OEM orders with The Hide Leather. Quotations are estimates and become binding only once we confirm an order in writing. Custom and white-label goods are made to order and are not returnable. Because leather is a natural material, slight variation in grain, colour and texture is normal. These terms are governed by the laws of India, with jurisdiction in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.

1. About us and these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of thehideleather.com and to all enquiries, quotations, orders and sales between you and The Hide Leather (Proprietor: Tanveer Ali) (“The Hide Leather”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Our website and business are aimed at trade buyers — boutiques, retailers, importers and brands.
2. Enquiries and quotations
Product information, prices and images on the website are for general reference and do not constitute a binding offer. Quotations we provide are estimates based on the details available at the time and remain valid for the period stated in the quotation (or 30 days if none is stated). A quotation is not a confirmed order.
3. Orders and acceptance
An order becomes binding only when we confirm it in writing (by email or messaging) and, where applicable, receive the agreed payment or deposit. We may decline or cancel any order before confirmation. Minimum order quantities apply per design: belts are sold as a 24-piece size run (three in each of eight waist sizes); footwear 12 pairs per article; bags 15 pieces; wallets, journals and diaries, coaster sets and phone holsters 50 pieces; card holders and sunglasses cases 100 pieces; corporate gift kits 50 kits. Colours of the same design may be combined to reach the minimum; different designs may not. Single paid samples are excepted. These minimums apply unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Pricing and payment
Prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) by default unless agreed otherwise, and are exclusive of shipping, insurance, duties and taxes unless stated. International orders are paid through PayPal, Wise or international wire transfer. Production is scheduled after the agreed payment or deposit is received. Prices may change for future orders.
5. Samples
We can provide samples before a bulk order so you can assess leather quality, stitching and finish. Sample costs, shipping and lead times are quoted separately and may be adjusted against a subsequent bulk order at our discretion.
6. Production and lead times
Direct and MOQ orders are dispatched within 7 days of order confirmation. Custom, white-label and larger production runs follow the lead time stated in the quotation or order confirmation. Lead times are good-faith estimates and may be affected by material availability, artwork approvals and factors beyond our control.
7. Custom, white-label and OEM work
For goods produced to your designs, specifications, branding or artwork, you confirm that you own or are licensed to use all such materials and that they do not infringe any third party’s rights. You are responsible for approving samples and final artwork before bulk production. Custom and white-label goods are made to order and cannot be cancelled once production has begun, and are not returnable except where faulty.
8. Shipping, delivery, duties and customs
Shipping timelines and responsibilities are set out in our Shipping Policy. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, import duties, taxes, customs charges and clearance in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility. Title and risk pass in accordance with the delivery terms stated in the order confirmation.
9. Natural leather variation
Leather is a natural material. Variations in grain, colour, texture and markings are inherent characteristics, not defects, and are part of the character of handcrafted leather goods. Slight differences between samples, photographs and finished products can occur.
10. Returns
Returns and replacements for faulty or incorrect goods are handled under our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Warranty and disclaimer
We warrant that goods will, at the time of dispatch, materially conform to the agreed specifications and samples. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all other warranties, whether express or implied, are excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the goods concerned. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit or business. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Intellectual property
All content on thehideleather.com is owned by or licensed to The Hide Leather and may not be copied or used without permission. Designs, artwork and brand materials you provide for custom or white-label work remain yours; you grant us the right to use them only to fulfil your order.
14. Confidentiality
Each party will keep confidential the non-public information shared for the purpose of quoting and fulfilling orders, and use it only for that purpose.
15. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including material shortages, transport disruption, natural events, or acts of government or customs authorities.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when your order is confirmed applies to that order.
